Anyone have Frank's email?
Dan Agonistes has put numbers to my theory expressed in this post in response to Bill James's new view on bunting. Bottom line: The old "dogma" that bunting doesn't pay remains good law. At some point I'll take Dan's numbers and put RV value with them to know exactly how much bunting costs, on average.
If you have Frank's email, please send to him. Dan gives the chart for when to bunt and when not to bunt. He also has a Desktop Baseball Manager which looks neat, but requires download MS .NET frameworks that I'm not willing to spend the time to figure out.
Hat tip: Baseball Musings.

Basil, you may be right about that. His tone in the interview seemed to be one that this was a recent reevaluation.
If it is not a new view, then I wonder why he still holds it.
You can download the .NET Framework here:

Or you can let it download by using the Windows Update feature of WinXP.
Thanks, Dan. I'll give the WinXP update a try.
