First Item Of Business

Do we get rid of those awful Expos' colors? The Expos never recovered from the early 1980's, when light blue was all the rage. And what did the "elb" mean on the hat again?

It's time for some real colors for real men. The Nats should wear the proud colors of America. Red. White. Blue.

[Checking....Expos colors were Red, White and Blue]

Ok. So the colors should be Red, White and a Bluer Blue than that sad pewter blue that the Expos wore. Nothing lighter than 3333CC.

I like the red and white color scheme of the 1970s Senators. Not the goofy script W though. But there are not enough red caps in the majors these days, not since the White Sox abandoned the fine look.

I couldn't imagine them going with anything but Red, White & Blue. My guess is that the logo will be something like a stylized N or W with the Washington Monument going through the center (vertically, not horizontally). Maybe since MLB and other leagues love the alternate unis so much, they could do one version with that dreadful scaffolding the monument had for a couple of years. I figure that the Wash monument is the only one, since the Caps already have, um, the Capitol, and there isn't much of a DC skyline.
I suppose you could do the Lincoln Memorial with one letter of Nationals coming out between each pillar :-p

(1) I liked the scaffolding, especially when lit up at night.

(2) Don't the Phillies have red hats? Or are we talking about Major League Baseball here?

(3) At some point we need to think about whether we need to kill Frank Robinson to save him.

(4) I don't get the monument on the side thing. Is that a dick joke?

1) scaffolding = icky.

4) not a dick joke, just a clarification. And if we go 55-107 the first year, we will be feeling like the monument fell down anyway.

Great uniform suggestions on today. I'm a big fan of the hat logo that makes a W out of the flag.
