Bases loaded, down 3-1, two outs, I don't care if you have to run through extra relievers. You do not allow Jon Rauch to bat and strike out to end the threat. Especially when Vinny Castilla is on the bench.
I think a pattern is emerging here. I loathe to second guess Our Team's Boss while the honeymoon is still on, but Frank declined an obvious opportunity to put in a pinch hitter for Tony Armas in a similar situation on May 10, and the Nats lost 3-2. See my post: www.andrewclem.com/Archives/2005/05/10ba.html
And I think a sweep by the Reds means the Honeymoon is over.
Also, second-guessing is when you complain about a reasonable decision that doesn't work out. What we do is complain about the unreasonable decisions :)

Never hesitate second guessing the boss! :) It's a Natsblogger Cottage Industry!
Andrew, Good point, and thanks for the link.
